Lewis Mallia
Owner of over 35 years and company director, Lewis is the glue that holds our store together. Our most universally knowledgable team member, Lewis spearheaded the opening and management of our separate professional audio store "Sound Devices" over in its old Sussex Street, Sydney CBD location for over 20 years.

As the first person in this country to become a dealer of then Digidesign (now Avid) Pro Tools systems back in the early 90s, he's overseen the installation and ongoing maintenance of hundreds of recording studios over his career. He's also just as at-home talking about boutique guitars, designing or servicing valve guitar amplifiers and even blazing through a piano solo on an old Rhodes.

Wesley L
Overseer of the nitty-gritty (and occasionally the voice of reason when we try to order too much fun stuff...) - our CFO of many years now and often also heavily involved in website operations, communicating with suppliers and generally making sure our world keeps spinning.

Dylan Mallia
Dylan has been with us in both Guitar Factory and Sound Devices for nearly 14 years now, from humble beginnings working just Saturdays in high school to juggling days between university classes and eventually full time.

He holds a Bachelor of Music degree majoring in audio engineering from the Australian Institute of Music, and currently has a varied range of responsibilities within our team. Often our ambassador at overseas trade shows, such as the annual winter NAMM show in Los Angeles - Dylan has personally visited the factories of ESP Japan & USA, Schecter U.S.A, Suhr, D'Addario, Pro Mark, Evans and Meinl Cymbals.

Dylan’s passion extends from recording technology and guitars right through to filmmaking and photography equipment too - he has been responsible for nearly all of our unique content creation and social medial channel management for over a decade.

Bronson Heath
Bronson is one of our most experienced and knowledgable guitar salesman, having been with us for the best part of two decades now. Just as comfortable with a pointy electric guitar as he is with a classic guitar or even ukulele, there is no stringed instrument that we offer here that he isn't able to help you with.

Nick Pansini
Nick is a professional drummer with over 30 years of experience and has been in the retail industry for over 20 years. As a professional drummer Nick has toured both domestically and internationally, and has recorded with many different artists during this time. He has an extensive understanding about the mechanics of drums and percussion due to his experience from playing, building and repair work. If you're into anything drum related - trust us, Nick is the person you'll want to speak to.

Lyle Siqueira
Lyle has worked in music retail industry for over 17 years and joined the Guitar Factory team in January 2017. He comes from a musical family and started playing the piano at a young age. He started playing guitar as a teenager and has performed, recorded and toured with punk bands, locally and internationally. He is also passionate about the “physics of sound” and excels in assisting customers in the PA and Keyboard section.
Lyle spends his weekends playing the piano and sitar at family sing alongs, recording bands in his studio and going surfing down the south coast.
….and he is really bad at using power tools.

Lachlan Scott
Lachie is a severely underrated guitarist and well known as one of the friendliest faces in our store, having been a part of our full-time guitar specialist team for a few years now. Despite being one of our youngest staff members, he's been an ultra fast learner and his knowledge easily rivals the rest of us.

Alec Mallia
The youngest of the Mallia trio, Alec is a diehard songwriter and extremely enthusiastic about DIY music production. You'll often find him assisting our recording technology customers or performing vital website maintenance on a daily basis.

Craig Sue
Craig is a veteran of our store, having been with us the longest out of any staff member (bar the owners) - he vigilantly oversees our stock management and shipping, our store grinds to a halt fairly quickly without him working behind the scenes every day. He's responsible for your orders reaching you safely, time after time.

Tom Whitington
Officially our youngest full timer now, Tom covers the areas that many of us once did - cleaning, organising our mountains of stock, assisting with incoming /outgoing deliveries and he's already very competent with assisting customers on a variety of products. A keen musician with a bright future.

Our team is ever-growing, and we have a number of casual staff who assist as needed, as well as many trusted off-site repairs/service affiliates.
