Pre-Owned Fender 1972 Telecaster w/Case

Remarkably lightweight at 3.24kg/7.1lbs, this early 1972 Telecaster has an acoustic liveliness and resonance seldom found in Fenders of this period.

With the exception of a period 1972 Gibson embossed mini-humbucker installed in the neck position and taller frets, it is otherwise original with pots dating to 1966 (Fender had a surplus of pots from that year that lasted well into the 1970s).

Action is low and playing cleanly across the very straight neck. Profile is a full and nicely rounded 70s C shape, not quite as ample as a 50s but more so than a modern Fender neck.

Blonde finish has aged beautifully to a deeper amber hue and showing the wear of a well played and loved instrument.
